The club recognizes his unwavering commitment, never-ending perseverance, integrity and amiable personality to the growth of this historical club. NAME : MR. LIM SWEET CHIN M’SHIP No : L322 DATE JOINED : 28 th February 2003 No. of YEARS : 22yrs 4 mths HIGHLIGHTS : Hon. Treasurer (2022 – present) @ 3yrs : Committee Member (2011 – 2021) @ 10yrs Mr. Lim Sweet Chin has been our Club member since 2003 and was elected to serve as Committee Member since 2011. He was later nominated to take over the Hon. Treasurer’s post, after Mr. K. Rama Krishnan resigned in 2022. Mr. Lim was a prominent banker with Public Bank Berhad for umpteen years before retiring in 2015. He is an avid golfer and has been active with other activities in the Club too. He headed Tai-Chi when it was newly introduced to the Club a decade ago. He has help build the Section by encouraging more members to pick-up the healthy exercise. With his wise visionary, the Section has become a popular organisations among all Tai-Chi group available in Taiping. His experience as a banker was a perfect replacement to hold the Hon. Treasurer post. Through his experience, he has improvised and put in place several new policies to ensure better transparency and accountable procedures. Like his predecessor, he is always careful in approving new projects and sections expenditures. We also wish to commend his wisdom in negotiating the best offer from our machine operator when we had additional five units of slot machines. This additional allocation from the operator has overturned our earlier proposal to increase the monthly subscriptions due to higher overheads faced by the Club then.
