Every golfer longs for the elusive Hole-In-One, and so when someone finally achieves it, he/she certainly deserves some recognition.
The Club wish to CONGRATULATE our Club President, Mr. Tang Yuet Mun, who has striked an ACE on 31st October 2016 at Hole No 8 @ Taiping Golf & Country Club.
This achievement had earned him ‘Roll of Honor’ in the only Malaysian archive The Golf Malaysia Hole-In-One Club, which holds more than 22,000 aces made in the country so far.
We share his joy on this achievement and presented him a bottle of whisky and 2 dozens of Club golf balls.
This was what he has to say when he made the ace….
“all I heard was my flight mates screaming ‘hole in one!’..’hole in one!’ accompanied by the ritualistic prancing with fists pumping upwards in the air for about ten seconds because I did not see the ball rolled in thinking it was behind the pin for a good opportunity for a birdie. Then it sunk in and I felt the invisible halo of insatiable thrill of the chase was over as I resided in the cloud nine while they pranced and screamed only to be brought down to earth when they stopped. I finally have done it and tomorrow i will again enjoy the thrill of the chase.”
