A Hole-In-One is the pinnacle of golf. Every par 3 we play, the thought is there…..here comes my ace.
For many, it can be a life pursuit. Even professional golfers have gone decades and hundreds of rounds on the golf course for this achievement, let alone the amateurs. For some, however, it comes almost immediately, when their thoughts of the last celebration is still fresh in their mind.
Yesterday, 19th June 2017, marked another lifetime achievement for our Hon. Secretary (former Golf Captain), Mr. K. Subramaniam to make his second ace since his first in last December.
It was the same golf course that this ‘tiger’ had kept on the prowl. When he stepped up on the 4th Hole tee-box, which he normally takes his time to play each stroke, in a near perfect swing, he managed to send the ball straight to the green and rolling towards the pin.
Since the green was a distance too far for the golfers to confirm an ace has been achieved, His flight mates were more excited to rush towards the hole to confirm the feat. To everyone’s surprise, when he saw them jumping on the green…., he knew their reaction has marked his SECOND ace achievement!
To Mr. K. Subramaniam, one can say it was a fluke for making an ace, but you can now stand proud with your head held high, to claim it that ‘fluke’ is spelled ‘SKILL’ to you!
