Children’s Karaoke Contest, 28th October 2018

A write up of the NCT’S Children’s Karaoke Contest on 28.10.2018

The Bulletin and Library sub-committee organised the first karaoke contest for New Club Taiping members’ children on 28.10.2018. A total of 13 children took part in the contest. The children were divided into 2 groups. Group A is made up of children from nursery to Standard 6 and Group B with children from Form 1 to Form 5. There were 11 children from Group A and only 2 from Group B. However, they pitched their voices and skills against each other. Prizes in the form of trophies and cash prizes were given to the first 3 placing of  each group. Each of the non-winners was given a token of participation. At the end of the contest the participants were given refreshment.

The panel of judges comprised of :

1. Saw Siong Kah (chief)
2. Ng Eng Kim
3. Ho Kong Foo

The winners for Group A were:

Champion –  Lau Ern Jun

1^ST runner up – Tan Kai En

2^nd runner up – (tie) Chang Jia Min and Benjamin Lim

Group B

Champion – Chah Shi Yun

1^st runner up – Chang Jia Hui
