Cheongsam Nite, 17th Feb 2016

Just like a scene from the movie “In the mood for love”, ladies sashayed into the club hall dressed in cheongsam ( long dress in Cantonese ). It was the The New Club, Taiping line dance ladies’ cheongsam night. Cheongsams in every colour and designs, most up to the knee, ankle and some riding up as high as the thighs.
What was amazing was we had a multiracial group of ladies who made a concerted effort to come dressed for the occasion.It does not matter if they came in pants and sam foo tops. The men were handsome in “Lok Chuan” ( mandarin jacket ).
The mood was oriental chinoiserie chic.
