Rookie pro Khai Jei gets surprise invite to Maybank Championship
Panorama Squash Competition, 14 – 16 Mar 2016
For the first time, the squash section held a family BBQ nite at the pool side on 27 February 2016. Earlier, an in-house competition was held over two days and instead of having the prize giving ceremony and fellowship gathering in the karaoke room as usual, it was decided that this time around, the members will come together with their families and have a BBQ Nite.
As for the competition, the participants were divided into two teams – Team A and Team B. Both teams displayed fascinating squash with Team A initially leading in points but Team B showed that they had greater stamina and came back strongly to beat Team A by a narrow margin. The final score was 14 – 12.
The Family BBQ Nite was a hit with the members and their families. The poultry and meat were tender and succulent, well-marinated and grilled by the expert hands of Ms Sally Chan. At the same time, there was enough beer, whisky, wine and soft drinks for all to enjoy. The atmosphere was just right for one to relax and enjoy amidst the fellowship of friends.
