2016/2017 Tennis Annual Dinner, 22nd July 2017
Our Hari Raya Celebration held on 17th July 2017 was the most meaningful celebration we’ve ever organized, that is because the organizers have chose to invite 100 orphanage childrens from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Dan Miskin Ar-Ridwani from Kpg. Pinang, Kediaman Nur Kasih from Ulu Sepetang, Kediaman Nur Qaseh from Taiping and Asrama Tahfiz Anak Yatim & Miskin Amal Nur Qaseh from Kamunting, to share our joy through the real meaning of Aidil Fitri.
These children were treated to a sumptuous spread of raya delicacies like nasi beryani, ayam masak merah, lemang, rendang and so on. Students from TMGS Primary school also took to the stage to perform a few numbers of malay / raya dances. All attendees were given duit raya and a bag of goodies by our Guests-of-Honor, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Hj. Shalimin Ahmad Shafie & Y.Bhg. Dato’ Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak.
The ever generous Dato’ Shalimin in his speech announced that he (through MB’s office) will do their best and gave the assurance to secure the land title for the present and only golf course for Taiping community. Viewing the Club’s initiative to care for the needy all year long, he pledged to donate RM10,000.00 to the Club for community services and RM2,000.00 to the TMGS Primary Girls school.
Last but not least, the Club Management thanked the Organizing Chairman, Tn. Hj. Mohaideen Ishack, and his organizing committee members for a job well done !
