Deepavali Squash Competition 2016
The PK competition format requires a contestant to draw lots to determine his/her opponent in a one-to-one contest for each round.
This was the first time the Club was organising the PK contest. Initial fears that this format would not be as popular as the ” talentime” format where contestants are ranked according to merit and placed Ist,,2nd,3rd etc…… Proved groundless as a record number of 24 members signed up for the contest.
The general reason for this good response was that there were more chances of winning a prize.
In the first round, of the 24 contestants, 12 won and they qualified for the final second round. So 6 contestants had the opportunity of winning twice.
The lucky six contestants:

- Jovial Lee
- Ng Len Khon
- Chiang Sow Beng
- David Chiang
- Helen Lee
The ladies were dressed to the nines for the best dressed award.
Best Dressed Award: Ann Chua
There was also an award for best showmanship.
